I am new to your blog but have loved reading your funny and transparent posts. Do you have an agency that you have worked with? My husband and I are completing our license to become foster-to-adopt parents, and our agency has support and counseling for adopted children and their families through adulthood. I would definitely recommend seeking some support to walk you both through the process as this will be an ongoing discussion throughout his life. Congratulations on the addition to your family, and may God bless you both!Derrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04839112963367394121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-11538498327657446882014-03-03T09:05:30.096-06:002014-03-03T09:05:30.096-06:00And when you decide you want to take him out of th...And when you decide you want to take him out of the country (even if it's just because you can!), I will be waiting at the border/airport ready to greet you and take you home with me :)Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10471303037450359030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-36989803181531462392014-03-03T09:04:59.464-06:002014-03-03T09:04:59.464-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10471303037450359030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-49259718012389803132014-03-02T19:23:06.439-06:002014-03-02T19:23:06.439-06:00He will be okay and so will you. My best friend is adopted, she has never met her birth family and has virtually no information, her adoption is a part of her story, not her identity. I know so many other adopted adults who are fantastic people. You probably know some too :) Bug has you. That is the greatest gift you can give him. When he looks back he will say "yep I was adopted once, Now let me tell you about my awesome Mom." All of what Bug does and accomplishes will have nothing to do with his losses and everything to do with his attitude. From what I read he is going to have a great attitude to emulate. That son of yours is going to move mountains.
