It might not have been easy for you and everyone in the clinic, but expect something like this when you have kids. They’re not easy to deal with, sometimes. You just have to be patient and understanding.

Jeff Wade @ Spring Branch Dental Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16344585649872266858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-794056872950164502013-12-05T11:32:48.769-06:002013-12-05T11:32:48.769-06:00I think that dental visit went fine, don't you...I think that dental visit went fine, don't you think so? Haha! I can only imagine the extensive work you had to do to bring all of your children at the dental clinic, and have their teeth checked and cleaned. It's common for kids to be scared of the dentist. Mainly because they don't know these people, and have no idea what's going to happen. Briefing them of what they should expect while in the dentist's chair and why they have to do it will make them feel at ease.
Dr. Steven Cadee at Mullaloo Dental CentreAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13875731240527626368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-80022376091571895902013-11-27T13:08:30.246-06:002013-11-27T13:08:30.246-06:00From a 16 year-old to a 12-month old child – I can...From a 16 year-old to a 12-month old child – I can say, that’s a huge challenge for you. Well, going to the dentist with your kids can truly be a challenge for parents. I’m glad that you managed the situation well. Pulling strategies like bribing, telling a story, and so on seemed to have helped you calm your kids down and made them comfortable being at the clinic.

Stormy @ TodaysDentistrySanJose.com Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14302016041523458262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-89571560076391910392012-04-27T03:09:58.052-05:002012-04-27T03:09:58.052-05:006 months? i didnt even know dentists would see a 6...6 months? i didnt even know dentists would see a 6 month old!
our rule is 1 years old...at least they have some teeth by then!FootPrintshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01244305923585144422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-1996967245834065232012-04-26T21:35:46.901-05:002012-04-26T21:35:46.901-05:00I remember similar experiences when our Payton was...I remember similar experiences when our Payton was still our foster daughter. Dental exams started at 6 months, then they wanted us to come back every 3 months. Seriously, every 3 months for an infant with 2 teeth! And like Monkey, she screams anytime someone with scrubs gets anywhere near her. Now that we've adopted her and her Medicaid has shifted, I'm definitely putting off scheduling the next appointment...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16510467563670218602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758600112996373228.post-51005796087906357052012-04-26T15:33:25.387-05:002012-04-26T15:33:25.387-05:00The more I read other foster care blogs the more I...The more I read other foster care blogs the more I feel blessed about where we live and how our "system" works. Fortunately I have never had the pleasure of visiting the dentist. We are required to take them at the age of 3. I have not had a placement make it to that age yet until now. I have heard horror stories about the whole 2 dentists who take medicaid in our area. My J just turned 3 and I have conveniently "forgotten" to schedule his dentist appointment. When his new case manager that hasn't contacted me yet decides to introduce herself to me and asks me to make the appointment, then I'll think about it :)The Campbell's Journeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07176743970550855217noreply@blogger.com
